Job Description:

We are seeking a hardworking, & self-motivated Senior Supervisor who will take control, manage & ensure the smooth day to day running of the store. The candidate will enjoy working with the public and will support the current team to continue to improve the customers shopping experience.

The role is varied and encompasses all management aspects of a retail environment. The ideal candidate will be dedicated to providing exceptional customer service, coupled with the ability to use their own initiative and the capability to be flexible with work hours as the role includes evenings, weekends and holidays. The role will not require Sunday working.

Essential Duties & Responsibilities:

• Maintain and further develop an environment that is quality led, motivated & passionate
• Build, maintain & promote a culture of continuous improvement
• Deal with the more complex customer queries & complaints
• Merchandising and promotional changes
• Oversee all aspects of the Post Office counters
• Ordering of stock & overseeing the ‘Adding to Socks’ using the internal computer system
• Ensure all stock is correctly labelled, date checked & rotated accordingly
• Ensuring Stock taking is carried out in an accurate & timely fashion
• The ability to work within budgetary parameters
• Managing all aspects of the team including Staff recruitment, training, retention & succession planning
• Collating Staff rota’s & holiday planning
• Ensure the store is always ready for an unannounced EHO visit
• Completion of all records for the HACCPS system and ensuring that all staff are following Food Safety, Health & Safety & Quality Regulations
• Also ensuring the staff dress & hygiene standards are maintained
• Maintain compliance with all Jempson’s company policies and procedures

Skills & Qualifications:

• Level 3 Hygiene Certificate is advantageous but not essential as training will be given
• Willingness to become a First Aider
• Excellent written & verbal communicational capabilities
• The ability to trouble shoot & Problem solve
• Self-motivation and the ability to identify and complete tasks without direct supervision is also an integral part of the role
• The ability to walk, bend & stretch for 100 per cent of the shift
• The ability to maintain regular, punctual attendance is essential
• Reliable transportation is required – STORE DEPENDENT
