Dengate's Apples

The Dengate family have been local farmers for generations. Their links with Jempson’s began with a fruit and veg wholesale company in the 1940s and then Dickie and Irene Dengate continued to supply Jempson’s from the 1960’s onwards.This tradition of growing produce for the local community is now being carried forward by David and Susannah Dengate.

With daily deliveries from their Peasmarsh orchards, Dengate’s provide freshly picked fruit, for a large part of the year, to Jempson’s in less than an hour after it’s taken from the tree. It means they can allow some of the fruit to ripen on the tree to mature fully whilst being freshly picked.

We’d be surprised if any national supermarket could honestly boast this!
